ストーリー内容
English 原文
One cricket chirp pulses from the grass.
Rosa sits on the smooth step.
Her knees press the wood.
Fine grain lines run under her knees.
The grandmother sits close beside.
Warm lamp light makes a rectangle.
It lies across the step.
A small mug sits on the shawl.
Steam lifts.
A faint scuff lines the step edge.
Rosa leans toward the light edge.
She watches the light border.
Then she turns to the hedge.
They watch the hedge top.
A faint city hum sits under the chorus.
The wide chorus holds across grass.
Stars hold.
The lamp light does not reach the grass.
Outside looks extra dark to watch.
Rosa angles her face away.
She looks toward the hedge again.
Dew beads develop on the hedge.
Tiny drops sit and shine.
She turns toward the step again.
A pale damp ring marks the wood.
The grain shows the round line.
"I hear it too," the grandmother says.
One chirp rises from beyond the hedge again.
