Mira at the Floating Bridge-

English 원문
Mira balanced a paper cup of lemonade while weaving through the quay near noon. A brass bell trembled above the ticket booth, marking the final minutes before the small river cruise pulled away. Wooden boards flexed under her sneakers; she aimed for the embarkation ramp, picturing the wide deck where folding chairs waited. A gull swooped overhead, its cry bouncing between warehouse walls, and a faint mist rolled in from the estuary beyond the piers. On the far side, the white lighthouse contrasted with slate clouds, its glass panels catching loose rays of sun. She quickened her steps, the lemonade spinning tiny circles inside its lid.
Near the footbridge that connected the promenade to the floating dock, a delivery cart blocked half the path. Two porters slid crates of oranges onto wobbling trolleys; wheels nudged Mira’s ankle, and she stepped aside. The bridge swayed with every passerby, a reminder of tidal breathing below. A child chasing soap bubbles brushed her elbow, sending a drip of lemonade to the planks. She gripped the rail, waited for a gap, then slipped forward. The queue ahead shuffled as ropes tightened and released with the current. Voices mixed with accordion music drifting from a street performer, each note rising and falling like small waves against hulls.
Just as her shoe touched the metal gangway, a loud hiss escaped from an old parade galleon moored beside the ferry. A canvas hatch flipped open, and an immense inflatable squid uncurled from the hold, purple arms unfurling quicker than laundry in sudden wind. Its rubbery tentacles brushed rigging, bumped a colorful banner, and swung over the bridge. Onlookers jerked back; a camera slipped from someone’s fingers, landing safely on a coil of rope. The unexpected creature altered the crowd’s rhythm: people halted, and the gangway tilted away from the dock. Mira lost balance, her lemonade tipping; a spray of yellow droplets pattered onto the water.
Air pumps clicked off after a breath, and the squid steadied, now rocking gently above the galleon like a playful kite. The gangway drifted back; dockhands latched it with a muffled clang, and passengers resumed their slow shuffle. Mira wiped stray lemonade from her wrist, stepped onto the deck, and found a seat beside the railing. Engines hummed; ropes slipped from bollards; ripples widened behind the hull. Across the water, the lighthouse lamp turned and its pale beam settled over the quiet estuary.
