Leo carried his small camera to the city pond.

He planned to catch the first swan of spring.

Warm light covered the water and made silver paths.

Frequent ripples crossed when soft wind touched the surface.

The dark water began to tremble under growing gusts.

Leo lifted the camera away from the rising spray.

A small dog rose from the pond, shaking shining drops.

The surprise jump pushed a wooden bench and tipped Leo's bag.

His camera slid out and landed against the dog's collar.

Instead of a swan, the screen showed Leo's wide glance.

Behind him, the brave dog posed like a small statue.
