Lina at the Busy Bakery-

English 원문
Lina stepped off the bus and crossed the small square. She had saved coins all week for her grandmother’s birthday cake. Yesterday a bright envelope, an invitation from the new bakery, landed in her mailbox. It promised special prices during the lunchtime rush, so she arrived just before noon. At the door she met a restless crowd that filled the narrow shop lane. Warm vanilla drifted through the air while trays rattled behind the counter. Chocolate frosting shone under glass, yet each sign beside it showed high numbers.
Lina squeezed between coats, but a taller shopper blocked her view of the lower shelf. A server lifted the last small strawberry cake, and it was carried toward the register. Coins clicked in Lina’s palm; her shoulders dropped. She reached into her pocket, expecting a tissue, and touched the forgotten invitation instead. The card still held a tiny golden sticker, evidence of an early-hour discount. She raised the card above the crowd; the server paused and returned with the strawberry cake. The sticker lowered its price to something affordable, and coins finally matched the number on the screen. That small sticker helped her overcome the price barrier she had feared. Lina breathed out, straightened her scarf, and walked outside, cake box steady between both hands. Traffic rolled past while white frosting lines remained unshaken inside the clear lid.
