She stepped onto the metal planks, only to notice a small paper plane resting near the railing. Its wings bore faint spatter marks—rain from an earlier shower—and its nose pointed directly toward the roof span she intended to capture. Surprise widened her eyes; someone else had already marked the vantage. Mira positioned the tripod beside the plane, adjusted the tilt, and depressed the shutter.
