Mia carried a small camera into her uncle's vineyard. She wanted a clear photo of a wild rabbit today. Soft morning light touched the green leaves. The class project needed a strong link between animals and crops. Mia also kept a calculator in her pocket for quick notes. She counted each grape row and waited near the last post. A brown ear appeared behind a wooden crate. Mia stepped closer, and the crate shifted on loose gravel. The sudden scrape startled the rabbit near the gate. It sprinted through a broken fence toward the empty factory yard.

Mia hurried after it but stones rolled under her shoes. She slid and her calculator bounced out onto the hard ground. The bright device clattered, echoing inside the quiet yard. The rabbit paused, ears high, nose twitching at the quick sound. Mia froze behind a tall metal barrel beside the rusty brick wall. The rabbit sniffed the calculator, then turned back toward the vines again. It stopped on a small sunny patch, still for one breath. Mia lifted the camera and pressed the silver button. The shutter clicked, catching the rabbit against waving grape leaves there. She placed the calculator back into her pocket and walked home slowly.
