A fallen plank spans the water.
He steps onto the plank.
The plank wobbles yet holds.
He reaches a grey driftwood log.
He turns around at the log.
He walks back toward the pool.
A red balloon drifts on water.
Ripples catch its long ribbon.
He passes the sandcastle again.
Beside it now lies a paper.
