Milo the hedgehog walks uphill. The morning air is fresh. The sun is warm. A blanket hangs on a fence. Water still drips from it. He keeps walking past tall grass. A small bird flutters nearby. The bird carries one twig. A half-formed nest sits empty.

He climbs higher toward clear view. A thorny bush blocks the trail. He turns and circles the bush. The bush keeps red berries. Now the fence appears beside him. The blanket looks almost dry now. Sunlight covers its soft folds. Warm air rises from the fabric. Milo stops near a flat stone. He stands; the hill stays still.
