Felix walks by a pond. The water is cold. A small duck hits reeds. Tall reeds trap the duck. The duck kicks but turns. Ripples circle the dark pond. Felix kneels near the edge. He reaches for one reed. A broken branch lies across. It stops his long reach. He shifts and lifts the branch. Water splashes under the wood. The branch slides away slowly. Felix grasps the nearest reed. He parts the reeds gently. The duck swims out fast. The duck looks happy and flaps. A small bird lands nearby. A cloud covers the sun suddenly. The branch stays still now.
