Quinn laughed without sound and searched for another springy piece. A second, thicker ring lay beside a folded brochure about sustainability events, its colors long faded by steam. He hooked the ring onto the ceremony plate, heavy with a leaf relief around its rim. Then he stretched the other end toward the first pan.
