Brushes rest in cloudy water.

Hector turns and walks back slowly.

At the window, he sees a picture.

Blue paper shows deep night sky.

A white moon circles painted stars.

He nods and keeps walking.

At the art shelf, new colour glints.

A small paper hive sits behind jars.

Tiny buttons fill the hexagon cells.

Hector smiles at the neat work.

He leaves the hive still.

He walks back to his desk.

The first raindrop sits lower now.

It rests on the cool glass.
