Paper lifts.
It hides part of the rail.
Vivian tilts her head left.
Through the gap, the rail shows clear.
Under the paper, the cloth peeks out.
A tiny star stitch sits there.
The teacher says, "Good morning, Vivian."
At the rail, a round drop swells.
It hangs, not falling yet.
The teacher rises and walks into the bright hallway.
