"It was cooler in here," Cal said. He set a small thermos on the cart and reached for the cabinet. The door moved an inch and stopped; the hinge held tight and gave a dry rasp. Cal braced the edge with his forearm and pressed again. His shoe skidded a little on a wet ring left by the thermos cap, and he caught the cart with his other hand.
