Mina stands near the tank.
Clear water moves in circles.
Two goldfish swim side by side.
They dive under a plastic castle.
Orange tails wave under light.
Bubbles rise and pop softly.
Mina taps the glass gently.
Sudden noise shakes the shelf.
A spoon falls beside the tank.
Splash bursts over the edge.
One fish jumps from the water.
Its bright body lands on carpet.
Mina gasps and drops her book.
She kneels and lifts the fish.
Wet scales slide in her palms.
She carries it back quickly.
She lowers it into the tank.
The fish wiggles then swims away.
Water splashes and settles again.
All movement slowly grows quiet.
Water stays still now.
