Lena stood in the cozy kitchen with fresh berry muffins. She planned a quiet porch snack this afternoon. She tried to orchestrate every step. First, she placed cups and juice on a small tray. Then she lifted the warm plate. She took a quick glance outside. A striped cat stretched across the doorway in lazy style. Sunlight fell on its glossy fur.

Lena stepped forward, and her shoe tapped the cat tail. The cat jumped aside, and the tray tilted on her arm. Cups clinked, juice splashed, muffins rolled toward the floor. One muffin bounced into the basket near the door. Lena bent fast and caught the spinning plate. Juice dripped across the mat, but nothing broke. She set the tray on a low stool beside the wall. The cat sniffed the basket and nudged the lost muffin. Crumbs scattered, and its tail flicked with swift rhythm. Lena wiped the mat with a soft cloth. The porch waited, still bright and calm. She carried the safe plate outside.
