The bright glare moves away. Now the duckling appears clear. The duckling gently nurses one wing. A calm quack lifts the air. Behind the yard, a small office stands. Next to it, a tiny farm shop rests. A low flower bed colors the path. Thin algae creeps along the trough rim. Small bubbles tremble under the film. Bubbles press, ready to burst. The duckling paddles away toward shade. Garner stays still beside the fence.
