The air smells like clean laundry.
Soft lint dots the rug.
A young boy, Luke, stands.
He taps the water glass.
Tiny rings spread like a lake.
Luke grins and stays still.
A faint breeze turns one page.
He lifts a rolled plan.
The paper flaps against the wall.
Pop, the tube drops flat.
An amazed stuffed rabbit stares.
Luke pats a wooden block.
Thud, the rug sinks slightly.
Pencils in the cup rattle.
Light shifts.
Footsteps pass outside the door.
A voice says, "Morning, Luke!"
Luke skips into the hallway.
