Dew beads sit on the glass.
A glare patch hides some beads.
He steps left one pace.
The beads show again.
Warmth thins them, bead by bead.
The shelf smells woody.
He walks to the low shelf.
A bowl holds small chess pieces.
One knight leans at a slant.
Other pieces press on it.
Pressure keeps it half up.
A laundry smell is near.
He looks back at the glass.
Fewer beads sit there now.
The sun line is wider.
It spreads toward the bed.
He faces the toy row.
A stuffed sheep tilts forward.
Its ribbon tag holds a name.
The curtain edge moves, slow.
In the cup, one pencil tips.
