Raindrop Races, Balloon Waits-

Story Content
English Original
Wet paint smell floats near Reese. A cracked chalk line rests under glass. Grey light fills the quiet room. Rain taps. Old crayon chips scatter on the desk. Raindrops race down the tall window. One clear drop slides past the chalk mark. Reese tilts slightly and tracks the drop. Beside that glass, a bright paint stroke dries. Birch says, “I eat pancake.” Crumbs rest; a small ant eats them. Balloon trembles. A half-blown balloon waits on his chair. Thin rubber shakes as trapped air pushes. The neck quivers; it almost lets air fly. Wet paint smell slowly softens around Reese.
