A toy duck slides off the block.
It bumps a tiny car.
The car rolls a little, then slows.
The duck shies to the side.
It stops near the door.
A toy clock points to noon.
The room is bright.
"I can hold the top," Etta says.
Nina pushes the flat block under a side.
The leaning tower shifts and steadies.
Etta keeps her palm near the top.
Nina lifts her hand from the base.
The block tower balances on the flat block.
