The crate rocked; a tin lid slid and bumped his shoe.

Sam lost balance, dropped the recorder, and grabbed a rope.

The rope swung, nudged scaffolding, and shook three paint cans.

They landed together with a triple clang against the planks.

While falling, the recorder struck the floor and pressed playback.

An excited shout burst from a tourist who dodged the splash.

The device caught clangs, laughter, and the final clear bell.

Sam laughed, saved the file, and tucked the recorder safely.

Wet boards glistened while the tower stood quiet again.

He slid the recorder into his pocket.
