Ruby stands at the sunny harbor. She holds a small backpack. A white ferry waits by the pier. A sailor ties thick rope. Metal steps descend to the deck. Ruby steps toward the steps. Splashing water hits the pier. She keeps the backpack close. Gulls glide over the blue water. The island stands across the bay.

Sudden wind pushes the ferry away. The gap widens before Ruby. The sailor cannot loosen another rope quickly. Water splashes up again. A dark shape moves below. A gray submarine rises near the pier. Waves from it push the ferry. The deck touches the metal steps again. Ruby walks onto the ferry calmly. The ferry rested beside pilings.

露比站在陽光明亮的港口。她背著小背包。一艘白色渡船停在碼頭旁。一位水手綁著粗繩。金屬階梯向甲板下降。露比朝階梯走去。濺起的水打在碼頭。她把背包貼近身體。海鷗掠過湛藍水面。島嶼矗立在海灣對岸。

突來的風把渡船推開。露比前方的空隙變大。水手一時鬆不了另一條繩。水花再度濺起。下一刻暗影自下方移動。一艘灰色潛艇在碼頭旁浮起。從船身捲出的浪把渡船推回。甲板再次貼住金屬階梯。露比穩步走上渡船。渡船靠著樁柱靜靜休息。
