Pawprints in the Lemonade-

English 原文
Morning light filled the small kitchen window.
Lily prepared a tiny garden celebration for her younger brother. She mixed lemonade and placed the pitcher near the sink. A glass jar waited on the highest shelf above her head. She reached up on tiptoe to pull it down carefully. The smooth glass slipped against her fingers and started to slide. The jar bumped a metal spoon, which struck the pitcher handle. Lemonade rushed over the wooden table and raced toward the edge. Drops fell onto the floor and woke the sleeping cat nearby.
The startled cat sprinted through the puddle and scattered small pawprints. Lily jumped back, almost laughing at the sudden chain reaction. She grabbed a cloth towel and blocked the moving lemonade stream. The cloth slowed the flow, but the pitcher stood nearly empty. She checked the jar; its content remained safe, only a little sticky. Under the wet spoon she spotted her brother's drawing, completely forgotten. She remembered his earlier advice about surprises and decided to adapt. Instead of one jar, she filled three small cups with lemonade. Pawprints dried, sunlight returned, and the table showed a new arrangement.
