English 原文

Morning light fell across the busy town square.

Tessa liked to wander between bright fruit stalls on Saturdays. She wanted one sweet orange for her small picnic lunch. An open wooden crate on a high shelf caught her eye. She reached up and tugged the orange near the corner. The shelf shook under the sudden pull and tilted forward. Oranges rolled down in an unexpected glitter of color and sound. They bounced across the stone path toward a man with buckets.

Water sloshed when one orange struck the top bucket rim. The bucket fell, splashing cold water over Tessa and nearby onlookers. A tiny green frog slid out and landed on her shoe. Tessa froze; then she laughed and lifted the surprised frog gently. A stranger stepped forward, rescued the rolling oranges, and stacked them again. The frog jumped toward the fountain, leaving small wet prints behind them. Water settled, fruit rested, and the square returned to quiet motion. Tessa picked a fresh orange and closed her picnic basket.
