Splashing foam pops near Lena. She walks along the wet sand. The sun is warm. A sweet smell floats from seaweed. A small cabin stands past planks. She looks for small traces. A footprint shines beside a pebble. A quick wave rolls over it. The shape fades under bright water. Water pools inside, a tiny lake. She steps toward the driftwood. A crab trail glitters, still wet. An unlit candle lies in sand. A few shells circle the bucket. Near the bucket, water snakes away. The fresh line is wet too. Each wet mark now darkens softly. The dark sand stays smooth.
