Petra sniffs a sweet damp scent.

Morning light rests on wet grass.

She steps from the back step.

She walks toward the fallen hat.

A rough bench stands to her left.

A shallow puddle glimmers ahead.

Water rings spread across the surface.

She skirts the puddle and continues.

She reaches the soft dusty hat.

She turns and walks back slowly.

At the bench she sees few stones.

One stone carries a bright yellow smear.

Near the puddle a silver snail trail zigzags.

The thin line looks like lightning.

She watches tiny ripples fade.

She steps onto the dry path.

The grown-up lifts a hand in greeting.

"Morning, Petra," the grown-up says.

Petra nods and steps on.

The garden stays quiet and bright.

早晨的光落在濕草上。

她從後門台階邁出。

她走向倒在籬笆旁的帽子。

粗糙的長椅立在她左側。

前方的淺水坑閃著光。

細痕看起來像閃電。

她看著細小漣漪消散。

她踏上乾燥的石徑。

大人抬手打招呼。

「早安，佩特拉。」大人說。

佩特拉點頭繼續走。

花園保持安靜而明亮。
