Harris places a soft pillow by the bed. He pats the spot and waits. The cat steps on it. The pillow slips on lint. It scoots a little back. A hungry rumble comes from his tummy.

He tucks the folded cloth under the pillow. He rolls a red wagon beside the edge. His hand holds the handle still. Now the pillow stays in place.

The cat steps up, then onto the bed. A warm stripe of light moves slowly. From the hall, a voice says, "Good morning!" A hand waves in and goes. The cat looks through the glass. A faint clack comes from the wagon.
