One sheet comes free, soft and flat.
Under it lies a small picture scrap.
A wide river runs across that scrap.
Next to it, a green field spreads.
Faye sets the extra sheet by the jars.
By her knee, the closet door stands ajar.
Dry paper stacks lean inside on a shelf.
At the front desk, a thermos warms.
A small sugar packet rests beside it.
The librarian stamps a book by the bookshelf.
"All done today," she says.
The date stamp clicks on the page.
