Willa says.
The grandmother knits on the bench.

Fine lines cross the seat.
A pale ring dries there.
A dark paw print stays damp.
She lifts a red leaf.
She sets it on the left.
"I make a line," Willa says.
She picks a yellow leaf.
It is smooth.
She puts it in the middle.
The fountain tube drips nearby.
Clear water rings the flat stone.
She takes a green leaf.
Small spots dot the skin.
She lays it to the right.
It slides on a wet patch.
Willa moves the line higher.
She nudges a pebble as a stop.
A crumpled paper cup rests by the leg.
Blue lines on it form a river.
It crinkles when her hand brushes it.
On the bench arm, a page shows a dream.
A sparrow hops in and taps the cup rim.
