Dara at Dusk on the Bridge-

English 원문
Dara reached the riverside just as the pale sky shifted into a liminal band between day and night. Paper globes swayed above the stalls, and lantern light spilled across wet cobblestones like ribbons. She had always planned to cross the narrow bridge and sketch the old island shrine before the bell tower faded from view. A boy in a painted mask drifted past, humming to himself, while visitors seemed to wander far and wide without any clear route. Dara tightened the strap of her satchel and stepped toward the bridge, certain the view would last only a few more minutes.
A single uniformed guardian blocked the entrance, explaining that a parade boat still needed space beneath the arch. The barrier had been fastened with thick rope, and the planks behind it were already shaking under the evening breeze. If Dara had known the festival schedule, she would have arrived earlier; instead, she turned downriver and searched for stepping-stones. Her boot slipped on the first rock, spraying water onto her sketchbook. She retreated, crossed the square, and tried a wooden walkway, yet glossy confetti clung to the boards and slowed each stride. By the time she returned to the original path, the rope remained in place, and the tower silhouette dimmed.
She wished she had packed sharper pencils, yet her hand stayed steady while she considered a last option. Rather than wander again, she knelt beside a crate of candles stacked near the railing. Their reflections quivered on the surface, outlining the shrine with surprising clarity. Dara opened the damp book, used the crate as a desk, and began tracing the mirror image. Ripples curled, smoke drifted, and her graphite lines caught the moment that the real bell struck across the water. The guardian finally loosened the rope, but her drawing already lay finished. Lantern light rested on the quiet river.
