Rex kneels near the pond. He stacks stones on mud. A short plank rests nearby. Light wind ruffles green leaves. Rex places one twig down. He adds a strong stick. Tiny waves rock the bridge. Sudden pressure breaks the twig. These stones need firm hold. Water slips over his shoes. Rex opens his craft kit. A bright plastic unit drops. He slides it under gaps. The bridge stands once more. A quick squirrel darts close. Its paws shake the plank. Water splashes around the stones. The structure wobbles yet holds firm. The bridge stays above calm water.
