Confetti over the Orchid Tram-

English 원문
Silvia stepped onto the polished marble of the Verdant Galleria just after the midday bells faded. A newly opened café had turned an old streetcar into a moving lounge that slid in slow circles around the atrium rail, and she lifted a slim camera toward the orchid installation shining beneath the glass roof. The store advertised the exhibit as a premium moment of spring under steel and stone, and capturing the first image promised a headline advantage for her travel blog. Warm lights bathed the hanging planters, and the flowers appeared to thrive, petals open wide against the delicate mist. Crowds drifted in unpredictable currents, shoppers brushing velvet displays filled with tiny jars of imported honey, threads of conversation gliding past with practiced eloquence. Already a narrow space separated Silvia from the rail, and the tram doors clicked, allowing entry before it rolled again.
The door slid halfway, then halted, its rubber seal gripping the frame. Silvia pressed once; nothing moved. A sigh rose from the passengers behind, and a guard tapped a brass button; the latch released with a muted clank, allowing bodies to spill into the aisle. The streetcar gathered speed along its rail, wheels humming above the atrium floor. Silvia planted one foot, balancing her tripod against a cushion trimmed with burgundy stitches that hinted at forgotten luxury. A restless boy, eyes bright and inquisitive, wandered from his seat and brushed the tripod. The camera tilted; Silvia lunged, caught it by the strap, yet her elbow nudged a bronze lever near the service window. Without warning, fine confetti cannons hidden among the orchids burst. Metallic petals whirled outward, flashing under the skylight. Gasps rippled through the galleria, and dozens of phones lifted like a forest of mirrors.
For a breath the spectacle belonged to chaos: glitter settling on hats, café staff chasing drifting paper, and orchids swaying under the sudden weight. Silvia steadied her lens. Instead of the calm botanical portrait she had imagined, the frame now held swirling color, reflections of onlookers, and the boy’s open-mouthed grin. She adjusted the focus, exploiting the streetcar’s gentle curve for a higher angle as it rolled past a second tier of balcony. Each burst of light from other cameras fed new flashes into her own viewfinder, layering brilliance over pale petals. When the cannons emptied, movement slackened; staff closed valves that fed the mist, and the orchids dropped delicate moisture onto marble. Shoppers reshaped their coats, murmurs softened, and the streetcar eased back toward its platform rail with a soft hydraulic hiss. Shreds of violet foil floated on the silent water.
