Morning light fell across the busy hospital corridor. Ben carried a small pot with red flowers. He wanted to place it on his aunt’s window. Several visitors walked around him with quiet steps. The window stood high above Ben’s reach. A rolling food cart waited beside the wall. Ben moved the cart closer and climbed onto the edge. The wheels started to slide on the smooth floor.

The cart drifted forward and bumped a stack of cups. Water splashed and spread across the white tiles. Ben lost balance and hugged the pot to protect it. He jumped down, but soil spilled onto his shoes. Two nurses hurried over and steadied the moving cart. A doctor stepped from a room and lifted the heavy pot. The nurses found a short stool and placed it firmly. The willing group gave Ben steady support from every side. Ben climbed up again with their help. He set the flowers on the wide sill. He pumped one fist, showing a small victory. Water still glimmered on the floor near the cups. A wet wheel kept turning slowly beside the wall.
