English 원문
Blake lifted the dinner-plate hoop from the bucket, and thin water rang against the metal rim. A soft hiss followed as the soap film stretched, showing shifting bands that whispered like distant bicycle spokes. He carried the trembling circle toward the wind-shadow wall, footsteps thudding and arm vibrating with every uneven patch of grass. Halfway across, a brief puff of air tipped the top edge, snapping the film with a muffled pop that sprayed cool droplets. He dipped again, slower, chasing a fragile equilibrium between speed and silence, and this time a cleaner sheet clung to the wire. Iridescent swirls rolled downward, the quintessence of colour pulsing quietly while the bucket gurgled behind him.
A sudden metallic rattle broke the spell; the garden gate had swung inward, and a loose rake slid toward the porch. Blake propped the hoop on the table, film still shimmering, then jogged across the grass to catch the clanging handle. The adult nearby called a brief thanks over the hum of a lawn trimmer, and the rake stopped rocking against the step. Only after wiping soap spray from his sleeve did Blake ponder whether the waiting film could survive that noisy delay. He hurried back across the yard; a faint fizz rose between the tool sounds, warning him that the film was sinking fast. The wire now dripped steadily, and rainbow traces dotted the table surface where colour had once floated.
With the large hoop useless, Blake chose the smaller star frame, deciding that speed rather than width might serve as scout. He dipped it gently, paused, and counted three breaths, listening for a lull before lifting through near silence. The film clung within the star points, and tiny snaps crackled at two corners while the rest held firm against vibration. He leaned beside the fence, placing the sheet where weaker wind lived, and the colours rolled outward like newborn sprout leaves. For several seconds only a faint hum from insects filled the gap, letting him ponder each slow swirl without rushing. Gravity then thinned the arching top, and the surface sighed apart, beads rattling on grass and sneakers. The bucket that had been nearly full in the morning now showed a lower rim traced by quiet circles of foam.
