English 원문
The wire hoop pinged against the bucket rim, creating a silver note that drifted across the garden’s cool air. Joy lowered the hoop smoothly, making sure the circle sank entirely beneath the translucent surface of the soap solution. She had mixed the liquid an hour earlier, adding a spoon of glycerine until it ran slightly thicker than water. Bands of pale green and violet appeared, lively and trembling, as she lifted the frame at a steady, practiced pace. As the frame cleared the surface, a drip escaped, splashed onto the grass, and formed the first link of a quiet chain. Her foot pressed into that damp patch, slid a step, and her elbow nudged the bucket enough to send a wave outward. The wave rose, met the inside wall, and tossed a lone granule of dried foam over the edge like a rolling seed. The bead landed on a folded brochure left from a community gardening symposium, leaving a rainbow smear along its white margin. Meanwhile, the breeze reached her unguarded hoop; the fragile film burst in an instant and rained fine droplets onto the growing puddle.
A sigh left her mouth, but her shoulders stayed level; the task continued rather than surrendering to the slow creep of boredom. She dipped the hoop again, rotating it edge-on to the wind, hoping the profile would cut disturbance if another gust arrived. Colours expanded across the film more slowly now; the earlier jolt had mixed upper and lower layers, muting brilliance yet adding strength. She balanced each step toward the wind-shadow wall, knees soft, free hand held out for balance like a tightrope walker. If the breeze returned, the angled hoop would sway, yet the film would likely survive the motion instead of tearing. Halfway across, a puff arrived; the sheet quivered, released a handful of droplets, but held together, their ripples travelling in concentric rings. Reaching the fence, she wedged a small brick behind the bucket to block more sloshing, ending the unintended cascade at its source. Under the shaded boards the film lasted longer, bands still drifting, though their hues looked faint against the steel-grey planks. A sparrow perched above the brick flicked its blue-grey tail once, then darted through the drifting droplets toward the open sky.
