Small finger smudges line the inner edge.
Sam looks for a blue page.
A cloth bookmark rests on the side table.
It sits by a square coaster.
Sam lifts the bookmark.
Sam sets it in the gap.
The aunt says, "Blue page today."
Sam lifts a lower corner.
The corner clings, then slips flat.
Sam moves a finger to find the edge.
Sam moves a hand farther from the window.
Sam slides a fingertip near the gap.
The page lifts and lays down.
Sam turns back to the earlier spread.
