Mira at the Moon Market-

English 原文
Mira had travelled across town to the moon-thread marketplace, open only on nights when the moon framed the clock tower. She had hoped to buy a silver ribbon for her cousin’s coming-of-age scarf. Lanterns swung overhead, and their warm amber glow shimmered across the silk roofs. Every stall had been draped with pale fabric that caught even the faintest breeze. Rustling leaves scattered across the cobbles, steadily masking footsteps with dry whispers. At the ribbon stall, a folded paper sign drooped, its ink already faded and unreadable. Mira’s shoulders sank, and her hands pressed the small pouch of coins against her waist. If she had arrived earlier, she would have seen the merchant busy with customers. A gentle deer hitched to a little cart waited nearby, its breath steaming in the cool air. The cart carried skeins of thread in shifting blues, and the animal’s calm eyes paused on her.
Mira continued along the winding row, yet each vendor already lifted empty palms; every roll of silver ribbon was gone. The breeze strengthened, and rustling leaves chased one another around her boots, carrying a crisp scent of distant pines. A low melody drifted over the crowd; a busker tapped a crate, letting a soothing rhythm fill gaps between voices. The highest string on his instrument gleamed silver, finer than the others and almost softly floating above the darker wood. Tiny notches shaped like interlocked hearts lined its surface, a sign of sincere love from the artisan who had spun it. Seeing Mira’s fixed stare, the player slid the string loose and set it in her open palm without asking payment. She placed her coins on the crate anyway; his grin widened, and the melody paused like held breath. Soft lantern light rested on the empty crate beside the silent instrument and the vanished crowd.
