A loose stack of stored things waited under the lowest beam. On top sat a plush bear, a sealed crate, and several picture frames. Jonas bent his knees and set the fountain on the floorboards gently. The wood dipped slightly, and the crate began to wobble under him. He reached out, but his sleeve brushed the bear, shifting its weight toward the edge. The bear slid, tipping the crate farther; glass in the frames rattled. "Easy there," Jonas muttered, steadying the leaning tower with his shoulder.
