He walks over at once.
His hands grip the table.
He slides the table aside slowly.
The path opens for Mia.
She steps forward and picks the loaf.
The loaf squeaks like a toy.
Mia blinks at the loaf.
The shopkeeper shows a real loaf.
Steam rises from fresh bread.
He places it into her hands.
The toy loaf stays on display.
Coins clink on the counter.
Footsteps fade near the door.
