Milo kneels and reaches in.
His glove cannot reach the ball.
He spots a thin stick nearby.
He guides the ball toward him.
Something brown peeks from the ball.
Sam gasps and points closer.
An acorn hides in the snow.
A squirrel jumps onto the bench.
It grabs the acorn at once.
The snow ball breaks and scatters.
Soft flakes drift around them.
Milo and Sam watch the squirrel.
Snow stays silent around them.
