Rolling Oranges Surprise- 適合初級的英語短篇故事

Lila walked along the warm street with a light backpack. Her plan was simple and clear. She needed a cold water bottle and some tasty fruit. The park waited ahead, but her bag sat almost empty. Sun warmed her shoulders, so she hurried toward the corner store. Cool air greeted her when she stepped inside. Shelves stood tall and colorful bottles lined the back wall.

Lila stretched her arm toward the highest row of bottles. Her fingers touched one, and the plastic slid a little. The bottle bumped another, which rolled against a stacked orange pile. Several oranges tumbled down and scattered across the smooth floor. One orange clipped a berry box, sending red spheres bouncing wide. Shoppers paused, and small juice drops formed bright circles. Lila crouched quickly, gathered oranges, and slid berries into their box. Under the last orange she spotted a shiny silver coin. She picked it up and walked to the counter. The clerk nodded, then dropped a ripe peach into her hand. The peach felt heavy and sweet, a quiet offer for her help. She thanked him, paid, and placed all items in her pack. She pushed open the door and stepped back onto the street. She continued down the bright road toward the park.

莉拉背著輕巧背包走在溫暖的街上。她的計畫很簡單明確。她需要一瓶冰涼的水和一些美味的水果。公園就在前方，但她的袋子幾乎空空。陽光曬在肩頭，她快步走向街角的小商店。走進去時，涼爽空氣迎面而來。貨架高聳，彩色瓶子排滿後牆。

莉拉伸手去拿最上排的瓶子。她的指尖碰到瓶身，塑膠滑動了一點。瓶子撞到另一瓶，又滾向堆成塔的柳橙。好幾顆柳橙掉下來，散落在光滑地板上。其中一顆碰到莓果盒，紅色小球四處跳動。顧客停下腳步，細小果汁點在地上形成亮圈。莉拉立刻蹲下，把柳橙撿起，並把莓果推回盒內。最後一顆柳橙下方，她看見一枚亮銀硬幣。她撿起硬幣，走到櫃臺。店員點點頭，隨手把一顆熟桃子放進她的手裡。桃子沉甸甸又香甜，彷彿是一點小小酬謝。她道謝、付款，然後把所有物品放進背包。她推開大門，走回街道，繼續沿著明亮的道路向公園前進。
