His dog Patch pulls gently.
They walk toward the zoo gate.
A quiet path leads to gates.
The zoo gate stands wide.

Mia waves at bright balloons.
A short rope bar blocks dogs.
Sam stops near the bar.
Mia points to a side post.
Sam ties Patch there tightly.
They turn toward the entrance.
Suddenly the rope feels light.
The knot slips at once.
Patch trots behind them excited, tail wagging.
Mia gasps and laughs softly.
Sam gently lifts Patch up.
They walk to the ticket desk.
The clerk sees the dog.
Warm air drifts from inside.
Sam smiles at the twist.
