The hat begins to fly upward.
Sam blinks and stretches his arm.
"Catch the hat!" Wanda calls.
Sam grips a loose string.
He swings the string forward.
The string hooks the hat brim.
The hat drops onto a hen.
The neighbor hen flaps slightly.
The brim hides her eyes.
Sam steps and lifts the hat.
He sets it open on water.
