A silver tap drips steadily. Plink plink bounces off pans. A soap bubble slides upward. Its swirling color flashes green. The grown-up says, “Lunch waits.” Soft steam lifts from a cup. Hands shift a brown wallet. The wallet slips, taps the board. Coins jingle, then stay quiet. Yolanda listens, eyes still wide. The tap drips once more.
