Leo placed his science report inside his striped lunchbox.
He planned to show it during class after break.
Morning light fell across the tiles near the back door.
He stepped outdoor and walked toward the garden gate.
A careless elbow hit the green watering can beside him.
Water splashed high and soaked the lunchbox at once.
The report inside turned dark and soggy.
Leo stared, then ran back into the warm kitchen.
He opened the oven, still warm after breakfast toast.
He placed the soggy pages on a clean baking tray.
Warm air rose and lifted small steam from the sheets.
Within minutes the paper grew flat and almost dry.
He folded the report and slid it into his pocket.
Bread crumbs stayed inside the lunchbox, so nothing else dripped.
Leo hurried outdoor again and reached the school bell.
A tiny water mark shaped like a leaf decorated the corner.
The teacher smiled at the pattern and accepted the work.
Leo quietly closed the wooden classroom door.
