Rain taps on the glass.
Tap tap.
My knees rest on the cushion.
My palm is on cool glass.
A pale ring marks the wood.
A dusty smell drifts by the frame.
A drop slides down.
So small.
I look and follow it.
Max sits at the end.
He presses a sticker on.
He laughs, soft and quick.
"There it goes," he says.
The drop nears his sticker.
The edge of the sticker curls.
It turns and moves sideways.
I slide along the cushion.
A clear circle shows a red shop.
Shapes blur when fog returns.
The drop reaches the lower corner.
It hides in the frame seam.
My hand rests still on glass.
I follow the next drop along the foggy edge.
