Noemi looks at a small crab. Bright glare covers the still water. The crab blurs in the shine. Noemi angles her chin and stays still.

The pool mirrors the bucket rim. For a moment, the crab looks red. Her mouth expresses a quick grin.

Foam thins at the rim of the pool. A tiny bubble pops.
