Sunday at Maple Lane Store-

English 原文
Anna pushed her bicycle along Maple Lane, a serene neighborhood street. Morning light rested on hedges, and birds tapped seeds from feeders. She had planned a quick visit to the small grocery_store at the corner. The shop has carried fresh berries that she has needed for a pie. As she locked the bicycle, a brown chipmunk dashed across the doorway, its tiny claws skidding on tile. A young cashier, whose apron was too large, stared and laughed. Shelves shook when the animal disappeared behind bags of rice.
Anna slid between aisles, trying not to startle customers who had already formed a curious line. A cereal box had been knocked over, and flakes lay like pale confetti across the floor. Milk trickled from a fallen bottle and formed a small white river across the tiles. The chipmunk popped out near the dairy fridge, and the swinging door closed behind it, trapping it. A plastic crate, which had been stored for oranges, was lifted carefully by the cashier. Working together, they tipped the crate and guided the animal inside; nothing broke, and nobody slipped. A minute later, the entrance opened, and the crate rested on the pavement. The chipmunk sprinted toward an ample patch of bushes, and shoppers clapped while the doors slid shut.
