Leo Before the Tide Pool-

English 原文
Leo reached the rocky pier just after the first silver line touched the horizon. He had always imagined the hidden tide pool behind the last boulder, yet the place looked smaller than stories suggested. The narrow footbridge leading down had been patched by local fishers with uneven planks, so each step creaked beneath his trainers. Salt air clung to his jacket, and faint gull cries echoed off slick stone walls. A camera swung from his shoulder; its lens already carried thin mist. If he could capture the rumored blue glow, his science project might finally impress his classmates.
Before reaching the pool, Leo tried to traverse a shallow channel that divided the pier from the sand shelf. A sudden wave soaked his ankles and forced him backward, leaving dark circles around his shoes. He wiped the lens, but the mist returned, as though the air rejected clarity. If he had known the wind would change so quickly, he would have wrapped the camera in plastic. Refusing to quit, he climbed a low ridge, yet loose gravel slid and sent him kneeling. Awe flickered across the scene when pale sparks rippled under the surface, then vanished the moment he steadied himself.
On the third attempt, he crawled closer and finally spotted the source. What tourists had hailed as magic stones turned out to be a single violet sea urchin. Its spines squeezed tiny drops of light each time the tide rocked it. A slow breeze brushed the surface, carrying the sharp scent of kelp toward the pier. Euphoria drifted through the hush like distant music, not anchored to any person but to the quiet marvel itself. Leo raised the camera, yet the shutter jammed; a sigh left his lips as he realized he could only watch. He began to comprehend that some moments resisted capture, no matter how carefully a lens waited. Blue light rested under the quiet, rippling water beside the motionless rock shelf.
