Mira on the Roof at Dawn-

English 原文
Mira had planned a rooftop sketch for weeks, hoping to capture the first orange stripe of dawn. The narrow staircase, rarely used, demanded more stamina than she had expected, and her breath wavered near the top. The iron door had been locked by a rusty bolt, so her first push achieved nothing but a dull clang. She pressed again with her shoulder; the metal shifted slightly, yet stayed firm. With pencil between teeth, she pressed shoulder against it and finally squeezed through. Wind circled the quiet roof, but her fingertips stayed steady as she opened her sketchbook toward the brightening sky.
A soft rustle drifted across the roof, hinting at another presence near. Mr. Silva from the floor below adjusted a line of mirrors near the ledge. He glanced over, lifted his cap, and returned to work, clearly unwilling to intervene in her plans. She sat cross-legged, yet wind flipped her pages with growing concern, threatening curved lines with sudden creases. Binder clips from her pocket helped mitigate the restless air, but reflections from the mirrors now spilled silver stripes across her paper. She moved three steps sideways, chasing a clear patch, and the silver stripes followed her like curious cats.
Mr. Silva noticed her restless shuffle across the roof and finally paused. “Light keeps sliding away,” he murmured, shifting one mirror toward the opposite wall. The angle surprised her; the reflected beam now framed the skyline instead of her paper. If the wind had calmed earlier, she would have ignored the experiment, yet the playful beam offered a fresh outline. Together, without words of instruction, they nudged two more mirrors until the silver band settled beside her pencil tip. She redrew the horizon; the longer she worked, the more the scattered beams merged into a gentle glow. Dawn deepened, clouds blushed, and morning light rested across the completed page.
